Edited Novemby Lead HeadĪfter talking to my bullet caster guy I'm rethinking the Taurus. I had a S&W 629 44 Magnum with the 8+" barrel great shooter but too much barrel. I will be getting the 6.5" barrel, the longer one is too much. I put a red dot on my Ruger Mark III and ended up taking it off and putting it in the cupboard it's just not me.

You're like me, I don't like scopes either (my. But I really like the iron sights on the RB, more like target sights, not so on the FA guns, espesially the front sights, take a look and you'll see what I mean. One other thought that comes to mind.the RB can be easily scoped and the FA too. I seen some used but still alot of money. One last thought.a freedom arms in 454, now that is a great gun! Yes, I know $$$$$$$īut WOW. I would just get the 6.5 barrel and not the longer barrel, just my preference. Turners Outdoorsman had a 454 raging bull, used for sale but someone beat me to it. and the 454 is not on the DOJ list of handguns. Raging Bull, since I have the dies and brass, bullets but no 44!Īnd besides I live in Calif. I have been playing with the idea of getting a 44 mag. Was quite impressed with the lack of recoil! It was scope with a 2x if I remember correctly and I shot a 5 shot group offhand at 50 yds. I once shot a Taurus Raging Bull that belongs to a friend of mine.
